Heads Up Rounds 1 and 2 highlights

First off another 2+2 thread I'm in that I hadn't put here. Very good discussion going...

So like I said last night I had my deepest run ever in a heads up MTT. I won 4 matches in a row and lost the 5th when it got down to shove/fold stack sizes. I wish these weren't turbos so my EV would be greater, but the $2 HU SNG's I've been playing lately have been turbo so I'm getting practice.

I've just finished scouring over my first two matches here at work, noting how the villains were playing their button and big blind. By the way I'm starting to really enjoy analyzing my matches and look forward to it, so that's a good sign for my new analytical outlook! It's interesting how these first two seem very similar.

Xbell open folded his button a lot, and limped some. He called from the bb a little more than he folded and most of the time when he called he check/folded the flop. He did donk bet a couple of times after calling my raise. He never raised more than min on the button. Here are some higlights:

Mixing in more bb raises if I see an opponent trying to limp their button frequently.

Match 2
Kim-Hall open folded a lot of buttons and limped some. His play from the bb was an even mix of folds and calls, however when he called he donked bet a lot of the time.


I just can't help but raise these weak min bets.

Weird hand but I felt I had to call down with these weak bets. Good thing I did. He could've had this by betting bigger on the turn or river though.
